Sony Confirms PlayStation Cards
We've been hearing about this since late last year, but now it has finally been confirmed: the PlayStation Cards are on the way to retailers at this very moment!
PlayStation Network senior vice-president Peter Drille paid a visit to the official PlayStation blog yesterday, and he wanted to talk about the freshly revamped Store and Sony's ongoing commitment to deliver the goods (like that long-awaited in-game XMB) to their customers. But at the end of the conversation, Dille confirmed the existence of the PlayStation Cards.
"And to wrap up with one of the many topics I know you ask about regularly, we are rolling out the PlayStation Cards to retailers nationwide as we speak. They will have the PlayStation Cards in denominations of $20 and $50 starting this spring."
Well, that wraps up all the rumors and hearsay in a tidy little package, doesn't it? If you don't have a credit card, or are uneasy about providing your card number for Store purchases, these handy-dandy retail Cards are just for you. Simply pay out the amount denoted on the card, go on home, and pick up whatever you want! ...for as long as the money lasts, of course.
