Metal Gear Solid 4 Headset Real, Listed on GameStop
Over the past few days we've been a bit confused as to the legitimacy of the Metal Gear Solid 4 bluetooth headset. We noted that the marketing sheet displayed three units, but talked about only one. We had noticed that the dimensional conversions from CM to inches were quite off. And we noticed an unusual, but perhaps intentional similarity, to a Metal Gear MK II mech.
See Full ImageWell, I guess it's time to cast doubts aside, as the headset now has a listing on GameStop/EB Games, and the manufacturer is indeed Performance Designed Products. According to GameStop, the release date will actually be June 9th, and not the 12th as has been reported earlier. The price is, indeed, $60 and the product is licensed by Konami.
Unfortunately, there is no image posted on the GameSpot pre-order page, so we're still not quite sure what the thing actually looks like, considering that we've seen three different headsets on the sheet, and they looked more like mock-up renderings than the actual product. We'll keep you posted.

Ok seriously, how can you possibly think this is gonna be a good product. If I remember correctly the new Logitech bluetooth comes out soon with a very similar price tag. You give someone a choice: Logitech or Performance Designed Products. I think they'll take logitech every single time.
--But it has a MGS logo. How can you turn that down?

But, yeah, it sure looks cool as heck!!! If it were more like $40-45, I'd wait and pick it up instead of the Logitech. But I've yet to be burned by any of the Logitech preiphials I own. If it gets very good reviews, and I can find one discounted somewhere, I might pick it up (also) anyways.
