Ubisoft Confirms New Prince Of Persia
Most remember the Prince of Persia installments of the last generation with fond memories; Sands of Time, The Warrior Within and The Two Thrones were all excellent games, although most will say either the first or the third were the best of the series. Well, it's no surprise to learn that Ubisoft Montreal is planning to bring the Prince and his mind-bending maneuvers into the new generation.
According to an Italian press release (translated by Google), Ubisoft has officially announced a new Prince of Persia for the PS3, Xbox 360 and PC, scheduled to arrive later on this year. The developers are issuing "a new chapter" in the PoP universe thanks to a "revolutionary graphic style" and a type of gameplay that will "renew" the somewhat stale format of many action/adventure titles. You will remember that Sands of Time was revolutionary in several aspects: Ubisoft helped to pioneer the alteration of time, along with "wall running." Both of these features have appeared in numerous games since then in a variety of different ways, but we all remember SoT for the super-cool, puzzle-laden gameplay. Overall, the franchise has sold over 10 million copies worldwide, and we expect the next-gen entry to be plenty popular.
As soon as Ubisoft provides more concrete details - like media, a release date, etc. - we'll be sure to fill you in. Until then, just take solace in the fact that another PoP is indeed on the way.

I do, however, try to put up every news story from PSXE that would also apply to XN. I should've done that with this story but I got sidetracked. Sorry 'bout that.
