LucasArts To Unleash Playable Demo For Star Wars
By now, "Star Wars" fans are well aware that they'll be able to play as the most famed villain in all of movie lore in Star Wars: The Force Unleashed. However, the producer in charge of the game wants to convince everyone that playing as Darth Vader really is all that, which means we can expect a demo at some point.
Cameron Suey said as much in an interview with VideoGamer.com, and while the demo is all but confirmed, we're still not sure about an estimated release date. Here's what he had to say:
"I'm not certain about the specifics, but we definitely want to get this game out into people's hands. There are people who are excited about it, who are going to play it right away, whether they play it (the demo) or not. But I think something that is wonderful is that the gameplay itself; [it's] so engaging, people who aren't Star Wars fans or who aren't even hardcore gamers, once they get their hands on some of the gameplay and how it works, are really going to be won over by it."
It won't take much to win over the die-hard "Star Wars" crowd, but for the rest of us, yeah, it might take a little convincing. We're plenty excited about The Force Unleashed, though, and we think a playable demo is an excellent idea. Bring it on; the sooner the better!
