Famitsu Issues New RE5 Details

If we spoke Japanese and lived in Japan, we'd probably subscribe to Famitsu. But we kinda like it here in the US, and it seems that Japanese is a difficult language to learn, so we'll just have to take translated information whenever - and wherever - we can find it.

Anyway, the latest buzz on the Internet is the new details the latest Famitsu dropped for Resident Evil 5. They have been listed out over at the NeoGAF forums and in other places, and here are the highlights-

• We'll be seeing a brand new trailer in the "very near future."
• A new female character has been revealed; she's carrying a shotgun and sporting a tank-top and boots. Hottie #173 in the RE chain, apparently.
• There is a distinct difference between light and dark, and both have a direct impact on the gameplay.
• Chris is shown in a variety of different locations and situations, fighting enemies and using weapons like the knife and sniper rifle.
• It won't be any zombie-slaying walk-in-the-park for Chris and Co., as the powerful enemies return with a vengeance. Remember Nemesis in RE3...?

This is what we have for now, and here's hoping one of the American gaming magazines does a Resident Evil 5 feature some time soon. We still don't have a concrete release date for it, though, so that may be the next step for Capcom: send over the date, and along with it, a big ol' set of finalized information. We'll be looking forward to it, that's for sure.
