Tales Of Vesperia Headed To PS3
Many RPG fans were both confused and disappointed to find that the latest - and 10th - installment in the long-running Tales franchise would only be available on the Xbox 360. Microsoft's consoles haven't exactly been a haven for fans of the Japanese RPG, but with the PS3 struggling at the start, perhaps Namco Bandai wanted to go with a platform that already had a big installed userbase.
Well, if you hadn't noticed, the PS3 is really coming up in the world, and because of that, it seems Tales of Vesperia will be headed to Sony's console as well. According to this Japanese listing of Namco Bandai 2008 titles over at DarkZero, the evidence is (kinda) clear: Vesperia is both a 360 and a PS3 title now. We still don't have a release date, but the PS3 could certainly use a great RPG this year, and this one could be just the ticket for fans of the genre. After all, we need something to quench our thirst; other than The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion and a few other nondescript titles, the PS3 RPG selection has been incredibly lacking.
All that will change with the likes of White Knight Chronicles and Final Fantasy XIII, but neither of those is out this year. Tales of Vesperia should be, and it's nothing but good news for PS3 owners.
