Microsoft: DLC For PS3 Version Of GTAIV "Impossible"
Some time ago, Sony's Scott Steinberg was quoted as saying that Microsoft "spent the GNP of several small Latin American countries to get downloadable content for Grand Theft Auto IV." Not long after, SCEE's David Reeves said PS3 owners will probably see DLC at some point, anyway.
Well, according to Spong, Microsoft has officially denied that DLC for GTAIV could come to the PlayStation 3. When asked about it, Aaron Greenberg, director of product management for Xbox 360 and Xbox Live, had this to say-
"It's not possible as far as I'm aware, but that would be a good question to ask Rockstar. Rockstar and Xbox have only said there are exclusive episodes coming this fall to Xbox 360. I might put that up for a bit of wishful thinking on their end."
This was in direct response to something Reeves said earlier, and that most PS3 GTAIV players are currently clinging to:
"Is it damaging to Sony and PlayStation that there is no DLC for GTA IV on PS3? Well I think you probably will see it, it's just that a deal obviously was struck between Microsoft and Take 2 to do that. And if that's what they want to do, I think that's the last shot they have."
So all we're really left with is more questions. Did Microsoft really shell out a giant chunk of change to keep downloadable content exclusive to the Xbox 360 version of GTAIV? Is Reeves referring to DLC in the above statement or something...similar? What does "the last shot they have" mean? What incentive would Rockstar have to keep it away from PS3 owners? Yep, a lot of questions, but we hope to see some of them get answered before too long.

Maybe its just me, but DLC just seems evil. i can see it for extra maps, hell, i even can see it for rock band. But doesnt it seem like this gen, we are seeing a lot of "complete" games, only to have some dlc come out for it? makes me wonder if it was at all possible for it to be included in the first place
Either way, most likely, i wont be purchasing the dlc unless its too good to pass up, so many other games coming out for both systems (moreso with the ps3 ), i dont think GTAIV will keep things fresh by the time it hits. But Take Two has proven me wrong by makin me love this game, so perhaps they will do it again

P.S. SAints row 2 will be better than GTA IV! It won't outsell it, it won't even come close but it will be better!

We stated hard facts, just because there will be exclusive content for GTA IV on the X360 this fall does not end any other downloadable content for any system in the future of GTA IV's lifespam.
Furthermore, you are here calling us fanboy's. Only a fanboy would call someone else a fanboy on a website that in no shape or form is meant for a console that the fanboy is fighting for, thus making him an offical fanboy. Congratulations Shadow, you are now an official fanboy, reach up your ass for you certificate. (You get all your comments from there, wouldnt be a problem for you to recieve your certificate from there neither huh?
