"Highly Limited Edition" MGS4 PS3 Bundle Only Online
Highly Limited Edition MGS4 PS3 BundleIf you're a loyal Metal Gear Solid fan and have been waiting for the fourth installment to drop before purchasing a PlayStation 3, you're likely looking for one of those sweet MGS4 PS3 bundles. And if that's the case, you should pay very close attention and clear your schedule for Monday (well, not really, but you'll see why we say that).
We've already heard about the MGS4 PS3 bundle, but GameSpot stumbled on some new details that are pretty darn important. First of all, this is a different bundle; it'll be priced at $599 and come with the 40GB Gunmetal PlayStation 3, matching Dual Shock 3 controller, and of course, a Limited Edition copy of Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots. But also, you will not be able to snag this at your local game store. No, it will only be available at Konami's Online Store, and these things are gonna go fast. They're calling it a "highly limited edition," and pre-orders kick off "some time" on Monday, May 19. As we don't have an exact time, this means any interested parties had best keep refreshing that page at various intervals throughout the day.
Of course, there is another "regular" MGS4 PS3 bundle you can land at GameStop and other retailers, and it'll only cost you $499. It comes with an 80GB PS3, too, which boasts partial backwards compatibility. It's up to you which you want to go after, but just bear in mind that the "highly limited edition" could be tough to nab...

But, this gun metal bundle...... i love my ps3, and i love the mgs series, but it aint worth it. Seems like the normal mgs bundle is worth so much more in my eyes. Sure, if you are an avid collector, yea, go for it. But they kinda dropped the ball by not making it a 80 gb ps3.
So you basically pay $100 more for a paint job, 16 extra songs on the soundtrack ( IIRC )? there has got to be something that justifies the price and so far im not seeing it.
But even with all that complaining, both bundles will sell fast as hell

Yes, the Dualshock is there, Yes... the Game is there. Same thing with the regular bundle, except without the Dualshock, you know?
