No World War II for Call of Duty 5?
During a conference with stockholders and analysts, Mike Griffith, Publishing CEO of Activision, all but confirmed the next Call of Duty game. He had dropped some choice words, as well as surprises, regarding the fifth Call of Duty game.  Interestingly enough, Call of Duty 5 will not be exclusive to just the powerhouse consoles, but will also be available on the PlayStation 2, Nintendo Wii, and Nintendo DS, on top of the PS3, X360, and PC. For the next-gen consoles, and PC, it will still be powered by Call of Duty 4's fantastic engine, and that's a big relief.
As far as the game's setting, Griffith described it as "new military theater", and that's anyone's guess as far as what it could mean. Moreover, contrary to the World War II rumors that have been surrounding Call of Duty 5, Griffith hinted at something else. Whatever it is, we sure hope that it has us nowhere near Europe or Russia.

How about a survival mission where your traveling along the desert trying to get back to HQ because the mission was comprimised only its miles away. And you have not only going to shoot your way back, you got to use items out of your survival kit. Like using your compass, putting cloth over your head to protect from the sun, rashening your water and trying to find new sources. At night trying to keep warm, etc. So there's a bit of a puzzle element to it.
