GRiD Demo Tops 1 Million Downloads
According to Codemasters, racing fans everywhere have responded enthusiastically to the playable demo of GRiD: over 1 million gamers have already downloaded this super hot demo on the PlayStation Network, Xbox Live and PC.
It dropped on May 8, and fans have been clamoring to put up the fastest times possible for the eBay Motors Challenge, which offers the eBay Motors-branded Ford Mustang GT-R as the ultimate prize. Basically, all you have to do is put up the fastest time on the Motors Muscle Cup track in the Time Trial section of the demo, and that sweet car will be yours. As of now, the top time is 1:39:45, and you've got until midnight on Sunday, May 25 to beat it (you had best start practicing now). If you can at least make it into the top few racers, you will be invited to attend the US launch event for GRiD in San Francisco on June 4. At that point, everyone will race one last time to nab the Mustang GT-R. For more information, visit the game's official site.
"In designing GRID, we focused on delivering the true thrill of the race experience. Since the demo launched it's been hugely rewarding to hear the fantastic reaction from gamers and see them getting seriously competitive in the eBay Motors Challenge," said Clive Moody, GRID's Senior Producer. "We're staggered with the lap time's being set - the top five racers have now bettered any time than anyone in the studio has achieved!"
GRiD is scheduled to arrive at US retailers on June 3, and racing fans everywhere should definitely consider a purchase.

Saying this though, the network code is very buddy, unless it is my ISP internet connection that is causing GRID to constantly lock-up during network play. I would like to know if anyone else experiences this once they play the game a little bit...

My main issue is the constant locking up of GRID during online play. I am hoping the commercial release of the game will fix these network bugs... here's holding my breath...

I didnt like the way the cars just spun 360 if a another car just looke dat you. I didnt like the way you would claw your way to first only to be nudged into last place.
but I liked the way the game menu's were.. it said my name!! (lol.. something football games should of had years ago!), the graphcs were nice, and the sense of speed was cool..
I did like it, but it annoyed me.
