EGM Adds More Bioshock PS3 Info

Early yesterday, PlayStation 3 owners were overjoyed to learn that UK magazine PSM3 had confirmed that the critically acclaimed Bioshock would be coming to their system.

And now, even more evidence has arrived courtesy of EGM. First of all, the game is featured in their upcoming July issue (along with the hotly anticipated Gears of War 2), and they say Bioshock will be "better on the PS3." Yep, we can expect a bunch of added features and enhancements that "extend and augment the game," along with all the downloadable content for the Xbox 360 version. (source- Kotaku) In fact, the article supposedly wonders if some of the new features are somehow connected to PlayStation Home, which wouldn't be out of the realm of possibility. All of this is encouraging news for loyal PS3 owners who have been waiting for Take-Two to deliver their FPS masterpiece to Sony's console. We certainly can't wait to learn more about it, and after playing Bioshock on the 360, we're sure this will be an awesome addition to the PS3's library.

All we really need now is an estimated release date and more information concerning those additional features. We'll have to assume that Take-Two will issue some sort of announcement - the cat's kinda out of the bag, guys - and maybe then we'll get more concrete details.

We hate to say this...but we told you so. :) Bioshock was originally in development for the PS3, X360, and PC. You don't just scrap code and throw it in the bin - especially not with a game as huge as Bioshock.

Yeah, but they could also say "we told you so" about Haze... all of our PS3 faces are red because of that one.

This is great for the PS3 tough, can't wait to see why it's better.

Again, we will have to see... the Hype machine has slowly creaked into motion again. How will it be better, or is it a ploy by the marketing men again.

I forgot it started as a multiplatform project. My concerns over porting quality have been eased a little but not erased completely.

Yes, it is the major concern. Titles like Killzone 2, should it be superlative, will prove again, that a development solely concentrating on one target platform can really push that platform beyond expectation. G will have time now to show us what exclusivity really means and what results it can yield. We may all be very suprised by it.

Admittedly, I never cared for the Haze hype either. The moment the game was billed as something enormous by Ubisoft, I smelled the hyperbole all the way from Ubisoft's Canadian offices. The first footage of the game last year also didn't impress.

theres only a few games iver been carried away by the hype in recent yeras.. Ico, SotC, BLACK, KILLZONE, FF's and all the GTA's.

I try to keep being really hyped down to a minimum, that way even if a game is a bit crap, I might still be able to enjoy what I can, like Dynasty Warriors.. love that game! lol.

Bioshock though, well.. could be good. on purpose I never read up on this game, mainly because it went off the boil for the PS3 quite early on, glad its back on the stove!

Alot of people say that MGS4 is going to be bad ass, but I'm not believing it, expecially with all the HYPE. Everyone says that they hate HYPE but they are all HYPING about MGS4.

BAN ALL HYPE!
