GameStop Issues Date, Prices For Guitar Hero: World Tour
While they're insanely popular and usually fantastic, music/rhythm games are often quite expensive, as those who purchased the Rock Band bundle will recall. So of course, after the announcement of Guitar Hero: World Tour, fans of the genre really only wanted to know one thing: how much will it cost?
Well, if you head on over to GameStop.com and check out the current World Tour listings, you'll notice that it's gonna be quite pricey. The game is scheduled to arrive on October 27, and the full bundle for the PS3, Xbox 360 and Wii will carry a hefty price tag of $189.99 (the PS2 one is $10 cheaper). There's an interesting "guitar-only bundle" for "only" $99.99, and of course, the game itself will retail for the expected price of $59.99. Still, you have to remember that you get a guitar, microphone and supposedly ultra-realistic drum kit with the full bundle, and it's only twenty bucks more than the Rock Band bundle. And oh yeah, over 3 million people have bought that game... Guitar Hero wanted to step up and add extra instruments, and obviously, that makes the price rise, which is the only downside of multiple instruments.
Now, bear in mind that those prices aren't officially confirmed, and neither is that date. They may only be estimates, but we imagine the prices should be pretty accurate.
