RE5 In November, Countdown Begins
Capcom is in the process of readying their potential "AAA" contribution to 2008, and we now have more news on the Resident Evil 5 front.
Earlier this year, one of EGM's many rumors stated that RE5 will release in October, which wasn't confirmed or denied by Capcom. Now, PSU says they have a source that claims the hotly anticipated survival/horror title will launch in November. This is a little later than we would've wanted, but at least it'll be out in time for the holidays (if this is true). PSU also reports that Sherry Birkin (that little girl who helped out Claire in RE2) will be back in RE5, and that adds fuel to the co-op gameplay rumor fire. There's no concrete evidence of that, either, but a brand new trailer is expected to drop later this week on May 31. Just about everyone is anxiously awaiting that bad boy, and hopefully, it'll provide us with plenty of new details and a release date.
Oh, one last thing: it seems a "Countdown" has begun over at RE's official website. The weird part is, while it says "Resident Evil: Countdown" right on the page, the two visible clocks are actually counting up. ...not sure what's going on, here.
