Latest PS3 Title To Utilize Motion-Sensitivity
Well, we know the rumble is gone from the new PS3 controller, but in its place, we get that nifty motion-sensitivity with the Sixaxis. And therefore, we're already looking for ways to incorporate that new experience into games.
The latest title to take advantage of that new technology is 2K Sports' NBA 2K7. Today, the developers released a list of features that will be available for the upcoming PS3 b-ball game, and the Sixaxis' motion-sensitivity took center-stage. The latter features won't be available on other versions of the game.
For example, the free-throw shooting in the PS3 version will use the motion-sensing tilt feature, although we're not sure exactly how. In the standard versions, players shoot free throws by moving the analog joystick down and up, which is a mechanic most fans are quite familiar with. We expect to see more news (soon) about how the Sixaxis' motion-sensing factors into this 2K Sports title.
Furthermore, the PS3 version will boast online multiplayer that supports two full squads of five players, and up to seven hoopsters will be able to play on one system. NBA 2K7 is slated to release alongside the PS3 on November 17.
