Call Of Duty 4 Hits 10 Million Sold
Sure, Grand Theft Auto IV is going to eventually trounce every other long-term sales record for the generation, but that doesn't make Infinity Ward's recent accomplishment any less impressive.
According to the developer, they have managed to sell over 10 million copies of Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, which is one hell of a number. Speaking to CNET, Infinity Ward studio boss Vince Zampella made the announcement, and while he didn't provide exact figures for the PS3, Xbox 360 and PC, he believes the game sold best on the 360. This isn't really a surprise, especially considering the difference in installed user base between the 360 and PS3 at the time of CoD4's launch. Zampella is, of course, proud of his team's accomplishments, and admits it's going to be very tough to produce another 10 million-seller. Yeah, that might be the understatement of the year, primarily because Infinity Ward won't be developing the next CoD installment; that job goes back to Treyarch.
But anyway, CoD4 continues to sell and the new map pack add-on has sold an additional 1.5 million copies. Without any doubt, the 2008 holiday season will see even more copies of this game flying off the shelves, so there's no telling where it will end...

Not halo, not gears, not resistance. This game.
I didnt really care too much for halo, although i did try gears and resistance and fell in love with both games, i just wished i could have played these when the community was much larger, mainly resistance
