GameStop Slashes Haze Price, Down To $40 This Week
Well, if it wasn't worth $60, maybe it's worth $40. ...or, then again, maybe not.
One of the most anticipated releases of the year turned out to be a massive flop, as we most certainly didn't like Free Radical's PS3 FPS effort. Haze simply failed to deliver on just about every level, and we would never say that it's worth sixty clams. Oddly enough, it seems GameStop actually agrees with us and plans to drop the price of Haze down to $40, with an additional discount for the strategy guide, which gets cut down to $10. According to PS3Fanboy, these new prices go into effect this coming week, so this discount may really appeal to a few FPS fanatics out there who can't wait for Resistance 2. Now, this doesn't change the fact that the game is nothing more than mediocre, but hey, forty bucks ain't too bad.
On the other hand, perhaps the timing isn't so great. One other game comes out during the week...you may have heard of it. Chances are, no matter what Haze costs, most avid gamers are going to opt for Konami's masterpiece. But this just goes to show how some games that don't fare so well drop in price very quickly.
