Tech Specs Confirmed For MGS4
It usually helps to have the official information, regardless of what evidence you may have had previously. A scan of the back of the "finalized box art" for the Limited Edition of Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots has confirmed a couple things we had already heard due to a variety of sources.
First off, as you can see from this image, the required HDD space has been solidified: 4600MB or 4.6 gigs, which we had heard before. Secondly, you will notice that the game supports all the way up to 1080p HD resolution, which isn't exactly surprising considering the sheer amount of production value involved in this game. Of course, this bad boy is going to reward those with a TV that can support that maximum level of resolution, because you'll be in for a very big treat. That 4.6 gigs of space constitutes a healthy chunk of the hard drive, but hey, it's early yet in this generation so it's highly unlikely gamers have already filled up the 80GB drive. Heck, it'd be tough to fill up the 40GB drive, unless you're storing a ton of stuff.
So anyway, in case you had a temporary brain fog over the weekend and forgot that MGS4 was coming out this week, snap out of it. The day is Thursday, guys. The day.
