Jack Black Drops Mini-Plug For Schafer's Brutal Legend
Jack Black seems like the type of guy that would be into video games, doesn't he? Well, this isn't exactly groundbreaking news, but we find it amusing, and we have a feeling that there are plenty of Tim Schafer fans out there who will get a kick out Black's plug.
The actor, looking appropriately nutty at the MTV Movie Awards a few weeks ago, sported a "Brtal Legend" t-shirt, as you can see here. (source- Joystiq) Black will be lending his comical vocals to the upcoming Shafer project, which appears to be ultra-promising on many levels, and when queried, Black said- "I just wanted to represent. I do this video game Brutal Legend. It's coming someday." Well, that's kinda vague, but MTV Multiplayer quickly followed up with the game's publisher, Sierra, to see if they would add anything to Black's comment. As it turns out, while they were certainly happy with the nationwide TV plug, they declined to issue any new release details. Sierra would only say- "We are excited to reveal more details regarding our plans for Brtal Legend very soon."
Being big fans of Schafer and Co., we can't wait to see that new information when it arrives, and we'll be certain to share it with you. Brutal Legend is one game that should silence all the negative thinkers out there who think originality has disappeared from the gaming industry. Schafer's stuff is always pretty damn unique, and even innovative and revolutionary. We look forward to it!
