SCEA's Confirmed E3 Titles

This year's E3 is looking a little paltry, but many of the bigger publishers still plan to break out a few big guns. One of them is SCEA, who should present a full slate of blockbuster titles come July.

According to the Videogaming247 blog, we might now have the full list of first-party games to be presented at E3. Not surprisingly, we're looking at two huge shooters in Resistance 2 and Killzone 2; the former scheduled for a fall 2008 release and the latter set for a February 2009 launch. We should also get a great new look at LittleBigPlanet, and dare we hope that will include a PlayStation Home update, too? Anyway, here's SCEA's E3 list:

  • Buzz! Master Quiz
  • Buzz! Quiz TV
  • Killzone 2
  • LittleBigPlanet
  • MotorStorm: Pacific Rift
  • PixelJunk Eden
  • Resistance 2
  • SIREN: Blood Curse Episode #1
  • SOCOM: Confrontation

We've already seen the 7-minute gameplay video for Resistance 2, but we could always use more details, and we're anxiously awaiting new info for those others, too. Attendees will be hoping to get a chance to play Killzone 2; that's for darn sure.

Killzone 2, Resistance 2 and MotorStorm, Pacific Rift will be the interesting highlights for me, with the main focus being on how (and if) the hardware is being pushed particularly hard, and whether or not the AAA developers are able to do things that prove what Sony led us to believe in 2005. It has been that long. GT5 and MGS4 show what can be done with some effort with regards to quality and polish (technically)... Rollout the "big guns" if you will.

This is definitely one of the more interesting E3 line ups. Good stuff.

Cant wait to see how these games are progressing. kinda small compared to last year, but maybe that was because of PS2 and PSP titles...

SIREN!!! I can't wait for that game to come out! In my personal opinion, that game is one of the best survival horror games to have ever existed. Not a bad lineup at all
