FFXIII Confirmed For E3, FF Versus XIII Delay Untrue
First, we heard that Square-Enix would not be presenting a demo for Final Fantasy XIII at E3 2008. Then we heard it would be on tap for their special private event in August, although we know the game won't be in playable form. However, according to the Videogaming247 blog, FFXIII will indeed be in attendance at this year's E3, and we can expect more details in the coming months.
A Square-Enix representative had this to say in response to the common FFXIII/E3 question:
"Theres going to be more things happening for XIII at E3. Thats all I can say at the moment. And throughout the year theres more things planned as well, which should shed more light on the release timings."
Furthermore, it has been clarified that Final Fantasy Versus XIII hasn't been pushed back for the sake of speeding up FFXIII development. That rumor was most certainly untrue. As for FFXIII itself, it doesn't seem that long ago when it held a 2008 release date, but we've got enough huge titles this year already. Provided they get it right, we say Square-Enix can take as much time as they want. ...let's just hope it's not too much time, though, and let's also hope the game makes a big splash at E3.
