Ubisoft: "Something Special Planned" For Prince Of Persia PS3

There's no doubt that Prince of Persia is one of the most promising titles of the year; it has received a complete overhaul for the new generation so we're expecting something entirely fresh and new.

PlayStation 3 owners can expect a little surprise, too. We're not sure what it is, exactly, but it might center on the upcoming trophy support that has been confirmed for firmware update 2.40. Over at the game's official website, Ubisoft is running a poll that asks readers to select one of three new achievements for the Xbox 360 version of Prince of Persia. However, PS3 owners needn't be annoyed; Ubisoft hasn't forgotten about you. Right there in the poll, they say they have "something special planned" for us, although there are no additional details at this time. We're guessing they're holding their Trophy announcement in abeyance until that feature officially arrives for the PS3. Then again, it may be something else altogether; we can't be sure...

Last generation's PoP trilogy was received very well by the critics and gamers alike, and we have nothing but the highest expectations for this new installment. As soon as we hear about this little surprise Ubisoft has planned for PS3 owners, we'll make sure to fill you in.
