Kratos To Slash Into Soul Calibur IV?
By now, most every fighting fan knows what awaits them in the upcoming Soul Calibur IV: Darth Vader for PlayStation 3 owners and Yoda for Xbox 360 users. They should also be well aware of the hefty fighter roster, which features plenty of familiar faces plus several new ones.
Well, how's about another new one? According to the rumor mill in the August issue of EGM, one of the biggest bad-asses in all of gaming might have a shot at joining the fighter list in SCIV...and his name is Kratos. Turned into a veritable action star by Sony's critically acclaimed God of War series, Kratos just might tear things up in the ring with those blades of his, and it's an appealing possibility. PSU reported on the rumor and reminded us that if Kratos was indeed scheduled to become a SCIV member, he'd be exclusive to the PS3 version of the game. That only makes sense, yes? Unfortunately, Namco Bandai sent the site word that they "don't comment on rumors or speculation" (figures), so there's no way to confirm any of this just yet.
Soul Calibur IV is scheduled to drop on July 29, so we do expect to see this rumor cleared up before long. Stay tuned for the result...

From reading what some are saying, that seems to be the case. seems that most want the Starwars characters to fight each other, like the true star wars fighting game they always wanted.
I can understand that.
But Kratos on the other hand really REALLY fits in with the feel, gameplay and story.
I hope this is more than idle gossip.

they have already announced that Yoda will be available as DLC at a later date, so i can see them throwing Kratos into the mix as DLC..
not really sure about how i feel about milking micro-transactions out of a fighting game, might be a great idea might be horrible.. i'll cringe at the $5 a character (assumption) price tag though...
