PS3 News: New Tales PS3 Title Unveiled In July?

New Tales PS3 Title Unveiled In July?

Well, we may never see Eternal Sonata in the US, but there's another JRPG that may be on its way: a new installment in the long-running Tales series.

The Wii is getting Tales of Symphonia: Knight of Ratatosk, the Xbox 360 is getting Tales of Vesperia, and the PS3...nothing has been confirmed for Sony's console, but according to SCRAWL, evidence of a Tales PS3 game comes from a new scan from an unnamed Japanese gaming mag. Apparently, there's a big teaser headline in the magazine, saying the PS3 game will be announced on "X Day of July." We're not entirely sure what that means, but we do know we could use some PS3 RPG news. Both the original PlayStation and PS2 were prime consoles for role-playing fans, and while we can certainly understand that it's the last genre to make a big impact on a generation, we're still a little antsy... Give us some RPGs, damnit!

Whenever this day in July arrives, we'll keep an eye on this Tales PS3 announcement (if it actually comes). Perhaps they're talking about E3, but if not, we'll just have to keep scanning over the next month.

I sure hope it doesn't come to PS3. We don't want to be a garbage system like the Wii.
