Rumor: DS3 Hits Europe On July 4

Japan was the first to get the Dual Shock 3, the new PlayStation 3 controller that reintroduced force feedback for a new generation. Then the US got their hands on it a few months ago...but as is typically the case, European gamers have still been waiting for the rumblin' controller to hit their region.

But the latest rumor from European gaming forums PS3-Sense says the day might be nigh: the member is citing several different "webshops" that have listed July 4 as the release date for the Dual Shock 3. If you're fresh out of school and have already let the summer vacation erase any knowledge of dates, this means you can get your hands on this new controller on Friday. Of course, this hasn't been officially confirmed by Sony, but we figure you guys have waited long enough, right? Besides, we do recall plenty of early speculation that said the Dual Shock 3 would arrive in Europe "some time this summer." Well, it's summer. Early summer, granted, but now should be the time.

If you live in Europe, feel free to check with your local retailer to see if they'll release any info on the subject. We await any word from Sony, and if we get one, we'll let you know. You know you miss the rumble!

I can't find anything of these "webshops".
Play doesn't even have a listing, and they often have products listed way before any release date is announces (then marked "coming soon).

Ok...I don't get this. It's a controller...same as the one you got with your PS3... vibration. And everyone is reserving them and buying them and my friend's like "I can't wait till dualshock 3 comes out."

I can think of a lot better way to spend $50 then getting vibration for a controller.

Well if you plan on getting MGS4 you must have vibration and hopefully future titles will utilize its capabilies as well. I mean it is pretty sweet that if something on-screen is happening to the left of the player, only the left side of the controller will vibrate. I think that's just amazing.

But I do understand your point, I only bought one DS3 while my friends have to use the old Sixaxis lol. I am cheap but they are a little too expensive anyways.

I can confirm it is out in Game I have pre ordered mine for this Friday. As for wasting $50 on a controler, it is just the same as wasting $50 on a game. Some games are just better with the vibration. I put my 360 on the other day and forgot just how good it felt for the pad to be vibrating as you get shot or come off your bike or whatever. Plus for the PS3 it will make the controller feel that little bit heavier in your hand than the flimsy sixaxis at the minute. I like to know I have got the controller in my hand.

You think im paying 35 Pounds for a controller that rattles, HA! No chance, i honsetly will never understand the fuss of the rumble, It doesnt effect the gaming in the slightest. The only thing i can think of is that alot of Gamers must have a great deal of sexual frustration.
