Don't Rule Out Diablo III For Consoles
Diablo IIIAt first, Blizzard would only confirm that the freshly announced Diablo III would come for the PC and Mac, much to the chagrin of many a console owner. However, not all hope is lost; a recent Guardian interview with Blizzard COO Paul Sams and a Eurogamer interview with Vice President of Game Design Rob Pardo has shown there's always a chance...
In Sams' words, in answer to whether or not the third Diablo would come to a next-gen console, he told The Guardian "he doesn't know yet." In further elaboration, Sams said it would depend mostly on whether or not "console owners would allow PC players to play against console gamers" - which might be interpreted in a variety of ways - and if the team can make the gameplay experience "the same" on consoles, especially where control is concerned. We can understand not wishing to sacrifice quality with multiplat releases (a philosophy some developers have yet to embrace), and seems to be the crux of the issue: and as Sams says, "we aren't willing to compromise."
In the interview with Pardo, he admitted that it's "theoretically possible" and that Diablo III would be "the easiest game to translate, but it would still take a bit of work." So, what do you say, console gamers? Do you want this game bad enough...? Think Blizzard will hand it over?

Whilst the PS3 is now firmly stuck in this generation... think 2-3 years from now, what GPU chips will be available to slot right into your rigg... saying this though, I still believe we have not seen the best of the PS3 yet, upcoming titles should show what the PS3 is truely made of, including the completed GT5, which will be a showcase no doubt.
There is no reason why DiabloIII cannot come out on PS3, and no reason why it cannot be rendered in 1900x1080p. The PS3 has the grunt for it. I don't mind getting a keyboard and mouse for the PS3 to play a game.
Let us not forget that when "HOME" is released people will more than likely want to chat/type. They will not want to write in complex chat lines using the controller... can you imagine how long that will take. So should "HOME" really take off, there will be, if not now, eventually, a healthy stock of keyboards and mice out there happily attached to a PS3, making games like DiabloIII a viable business case...

And while I do agree that a high-end PC can do what the PS3 can do (for now), one will NEVER find such a good PC rig for a mere $400. ;)

And, they haven't really released anything since WoW, except for footage of starcraft 2 and Diablo 3. But everyone has their opinion, its just that nowadays, it seems cool to hate WoW, and everytime blizz announces a new game, the WoW haters ( i don't play the game btw ) accuses it of being a WoW carbon copy
The current hot debate of D3 is the way it looks. Some say its not dark enough compared to the older games. Although blizz did change some of the art for Startcraft 2, i hope this is one of those times when they don't listen to the nay sayers. Only 2 areas have been revealed, yet they are so sure that its too "colorful" or "not gothic and dark enough"
All that from 2 areas....

i for one would gladly purchase a mouse and keyboard for the ps3 version, but only if its possible to play against pc owners. This is a game that doesnt need its install base divided

although, for some reason it feels like if it did come out on consoles it would come out exclusively on 360...i dont know, its just a feeling that i get.
