Media Molecule Verifies LittleBigPlanet Beta Rumors?

This rumor wasn't a rumor for very long; the official source - depending on how you interpret it, of course - confirmed it to be true.

TheSixthAxis first posted a picture of a PSN friend supposedly playing the LittleBigPlanet beta, which quickly turned a lot of heads. That picture could be doctored, of course, but the game's developers, Media Molecule, essentially confirmed the beta at their official blog. As you can see, they say the "beta-trials are keeping us especially busy." We suppose this can be interpreted as internal betas; part of the design process that we lowly gamers most certainly aren't a part of, or they really could be referring to an imminent public beta for LittleBigPlanet. Over the past few months, we've been hearing about the possibility of a beta for both this promising co-op platformer and PlayStation Home, so this is just another step...

The closer we get to any betas, the closer we get to the final product. That much is obvious. Therefore, if Media Molecule plans to issue a playable beta soon, perhaps LittleBigPlanet will soon have a concrete release date.

I met a couple LBP devs on HOME and what they told me was that there would be a beta, just not for a while.

I guess there will always be people who just don't get a certain concept. I don't think I've heard a single negative comment from people who have had their hands on LBP. That makes me excited.

How can you not get excited? Look how awesome the sackboys are. And you're gonna let me and my three buddies run around my twisted levels? That's gonna be so much fun.

I'm very excited for this game as well and I know I'm going to be happy with the final product no matter what... that is if it comes out soon lol.

But yeah, I have always loved to create and the possibilites you can do in this game are just mindblowing. It's why everytime I played the Tony Hawk Pro Skater games I was ALWAYS on the park editor and nothing else.

Psshh. I already got this b!tch on preorder. LBP is gonna be crazy fun. It's all about the creativity and fun of the game. Just because there is no one being shot at, doesn't mean it won't be fun.

If you play Unreal or any other game that has really good user created maps, you'll know what type of fun is in store. Like I said, it's gonna be crazy.

Have been watching this one for a while now. Not to sure what the overall concept of the game it but being able to create and play in something that you came up with sounds interesting. Will definately be renting this one when it comes out.

Yeah have fun making games with SACK DOLLS.

I'll be busy with mercs two, bioshock, fallout, resistance, force unleashed among others.

You'll really take a shot to your Masculinity if you buy this one.

What moron is giving people thumbs down for saying why they like how this game is turning out? Dolt. What does masculinity have to do with anything? Get your head out of your @$$ and stop being some cro magnon man. Go crush a beer can on your forehead

anyway

LBP Has looked pretty interesting since the first trailer. The atmosphere of the game and the visual style are fresh. I think i heard that you can create your own maps but it will be interesting to see the longevity of the game.

Time to get some extra controllers.

Another brilliant post from Matrix Kurt. I am suprised you weren't the first post on this topic, you must be slipping! Why dont you go get an X-Box and take your stupid comments to an X-box site since all you seem to like are shooters.
