Media Molecule Verifies LittleBigPlanet Beta Rumors?
This rumor wasn't a rumor for very long; the official source - depending on how you interpret it, of course - confirmed it to be true.
TheSixthAxis first posted a picture of a PSN friend supposedly playing the LittleBigPlanet beta, which quickly turned a lot of heads. That picture could be doctored, of course, but the game's developers, Media Molecule, essentially confirmed the beta at their official blog. As you can see, they say the "beta-trials are keeping us especially busy." We suppose this can be interpreted as internal betas; part of the design process that we lowly gamers most certainly aren't a part of, or they really could be referring to an imminent public beta for LittleBigPlanet. Over the past few months, we've been hearing about the possibility of a beta for both this promising co-op platformer and PlayStation Home, so this is just another step...
The closer we get to any betas, the closer we get to the final product. That much is obvious. Therefore, if Media Molecule plans to issue a playable beta soon, perhaps LittleBigPlanet will soon have a concrete release date.

How can you not get excited? Look how awesome the sackboys are. And you're gonna let me and my three buddies run around my twisted levels? That's gonna be so much fun.

But yeah, I have always loved to create and the possibilites you can do in this game are just mindblowing. It's why everytime I played the Tony Hawk Pro Skater games I was ALWAYS on the park editor and nothing else.

If you play Unreal or any other game that has really good user created maps, you'll know what type of fun is in store. Like I said, it's gonna be crazy.

LBP Has looked pretty interesting since the first trailer. The atmosphere of the game and the visual style are fresh. I think i heard that you can create your own maps but it will be interesting to see the longevity of the game.
Time to get some extra controllers.
