PS Store Updated Every Day For E3

E3 is here, so Sony has seen fit to temporarily enhance the frequency of their PlayStation Store updates: rather than the standard once per week, they will be tossing up new E3 content every day!

According to the latest post over at the official PlayStation blog by PlayStation Store Team member Rommel Hernandez, the Store is going to "feature daily updates" this week - everyone say "thank you, E3!" - and many of the live conference videos will even be in full high definition. They'll also be including media for "some of the hottest games featured" at the event, so if you can't make it to L.A., you can always just log on and stay up-to-date. Furthermore, Rommel told us about the regular scheduled content for the Store this week (we're assuming he's talking about the North American Store, but this content may apply to Euro gamers, too):

  • The Best of The Who Rock Band Edition
  • Super Stardust HD Team Mode Add-on
  • Elefunk (downloadable puzzle game)

See? Sony is taking care of you this week. And you know what? So are we; we've got you covered for anything Sony-related at E3, so you needn't go scrounging about the Internet for your event updates. Just keep it here, and we'll satisfy your every aching need. ...no, really.

Sony better have some good news on HOME, because Microsoft just announced completely customizable avatars for 360 with an 8 person community chat/social system... And it's coming "this fall"

Seems you'll also be able to not only share pictures/videos you might have, but you can take your community buddies to watch a movie together... Sounds like Microsoft is coming up with a solution to HOME... Stuff like this can come back to bite Sony in the a** with all the delays.

I always come here first for my PS info. The main appeal of this site over sites like IGN is that this one is just focused on the info i want to read. With any other big name sites i', flooded with pop-ups and media that doesn't interest me and it just bugs me. Here i hit the home button and bam I'm where i want to be, Ben/Arnold don't please don't go a changin'.

Not a chance. :) We think it works very well, and when we made the cosmetic site change, I think it was important that we didn't assault the readers with unnecessary pop-ups and streaming media on the front page. But at the same time, we've got all the screens and videos you can see elsewhere; it's just not in your face when you first visit.

We just give you the most recent and most important Sony-related news all the time, with some of the best previews and reviews on the 'Net. :) Just know we always appreciate our readers!

Calm down everybody....Sony still has waaay more good games than Xbox360. Thats why when Microsoft gets one to go multi-platform they're really excited. They have huge droughts between good games (Gears and Halo). Can anybody name another huge game for Xbox besides those 2?

gears of war2 didn't look too good to me, and I think microsoft exaggerated on most of the stuff, for example GTA, it was also on the ps3, and gta4 didn't drive hardware sales for both ps3 or 360, so i dont know what the hell they are talking about.
