E3 2008: First PS3 Greatest Hits Titles
Resistance: Fall of ManWe knew they'd be coming at some point, but it's nice to finally get the confirmation. At Sony's E3 press conference, Jack Tretton announced that the first selection of Greatest Hits for the PlayStation 3 will arrive this fall.
The Greatest Hits library on both the PS1 and PS2 is quite large, and there was no reason for Sony to discontinue such a library for the PS3. It's always a good idea to re-release the most popular titles at a new, and wonderfully low, price for gamers who may have missed out the first time around. Most could've predicted the first few titles that would become PS3 Greatest Hits, but here's the list, anyway:
- Resistance: Fall of Man
- MotorStorm
- Warhawk
- Call of Duty 3
- Fight Night Round 3
- Need for Speed: Carbon
- Rainbow Six: Vegas
- Assassin's Creed
- Ninja Gaiden Sigma
- The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion
Yep, there are plenty of top titles there, and if you missed any of them, you can pick 'em up for $29.99 later this year. As time goes on, you can expect more Greatest Hits to make the list, and there's no doubt they're very popular amongst the gaming crowd. "Oh, I missed that one; it was supposed to be awesome, and now it's half the price! Sweet!"
