E3 2008: Killzone 2 Multiplayer Badges
Resistance 2 may have stolen the show at yesterday's Sony press conference, but that doesn't mean we don't have more information on Killzone 2, the other highly anticipated PS3 exclusive FPS.
As PSU reports, a new badge system has been unveiled for game, and it's something that really opens up the player customization possibilities. These are for multiplayer, and they let users "mix and match abilities into primary and secondary spots" in order to best suit their playing style. In other words, your primary badge dictates the main role of the character in the battlefield while the secondary badge gives you additional abilities from another class. The badges you can use are: Rifleman, Engineer, Medic, Scout, Assault, Tactician, and Saboteur. For a complete description of each - and how the primary and secondary abilities for each break down - visit the source. This is the type of addition to the multiplayer that should make the experience that much more involving for any player.
We hope to hear more about Killzone 2 as the show wears on, but for now, we're happy with this information. As always, FPS titles require great multiplayer (online and otherwise), so this update is definitely good news.

use the primary badge of the saboteur, and the secondary badge from the scout.
i got an ass load of kills with this strategy because i could weed out the enemies and strike them from behind their backs no problem. it was a lot of fun, kind of like knifing campers in cod4 from behind their backs but more intense.
also use the primary engineer badge for search and destroy because those turrets can work as scouts and then you can flank the enemy from behind by following the trajectory of the shots from your turret to the enemy. that turret has saved me many times from enemies who tried to sneak up from behind me.
