E3 2008: Ratchet and Clank: Quest For Booty
Ratchet and Clank: Quest For Booty is a title we've long heard about, as its name and PSN destination was leaked months ago on the internet. The game is indeed heading to the PlayStation Network as a downloadable title. Insomniac has made no sacrifices, other than the length of the game, in bringing us an all new Ratchet and Clank experience.
See Full ImageThe visuals are still brimming with the same details we saw in Ratchet and Clank Future, so Quest For Booty is an impressive looking title, even if it is running on a carried-over engine. In his newest quest, Ratchet has gained a number of abilities, one of which is long overdue - the ability to pick up and throw objects. Picking up objects is as simple as coming up to them and pressing the square button. You'll be able to hurl the objects at a variety of different targets, including doors and enemies.
There'll be a variety of different objects to pick up, with different types of objects serving different functions. For example, some objects are explosive, while others aren't. Despite being a downloadable game, voice acting is still present, but Insomniac is trying to keep the download size below 2GB.
While your Quest For Booty won't exactly be as epic of an adventure as Tools of Destruction, it'll still be lengthy enough to warrant the meager $14.99 price of admission. Ratchet and Clank fans will really love Quest For Booty as soon as they get to sink their teeth into it.

The majority of MS' presentation was multiplat games, or games they have ripped off from PS3 or Wii, eg Lips-Singstar, Avatar-Mii and their eyetoy game...
Not really as impressive as the info released by Sony.

But look at what insomniac has done: They created a launch title that is the soul reason the PS3 didn't COMPLETELY FLOP in it's first year (Resistance). It then made an amazing exclusive in Ratchet and Clank Future. Now it's about about to release one of the largest games ever made in Resistance 2.
And then they introduce this "expansion pack" for Ratchet and Clank.
Congrats Insomniac is the best and hardest working developer in the history of video games.
And we look at naughty dog and sucker punch they're tripping. Uncharted was defintely an awesome game but it's only one in number and Insomniac is working on it's 4th. 3 1/2...

@Pillar - They were showing it off on G4, and it looked more awesome than ever.
I was really expecting more of Infamous, Motorstorm, Socom, LBP, White Knight Chronicles, Wardevil, The Agency, and the Team Ico game.
They barely showed anything about GOW3, it sorta seemed like they just put together that trailer to show that they are making the game, but it's not even close to being finished.
The DC Universe game looked horrible...

Nah, forums haven't been working since yesterday. :( and I am having withdrawls from that!
On that note, after downloading the Tools of Destruction demo, I very well might be picking that up and QfB. :)

i guess i should stick to topic (sigh).. Tools o Destuction was awesome, i dont know why i didnt buy it. but if this new one is on the PSN, i'll pick it up for sure.
