Heavy Rain: Private Showing At E3
We were disappointed when Quantic Dream's Heavy Rain didn't show up during Sony's E3 press conference last week, and the game most certainly wasn't available for a hands-on preview. But according to Button Masher, several members of the gaming print media were granted a private showing of Heavy Rain behind closed doors.
Now, this doesn't include us (we ain't print, if you hadn't noticed), and of course, this means that no online gaming publication was given access. Provided this information is accurate, though, it does mean we should start seeing some new details on the game popping up in GamePro or Game Informer, or somewhere. Ever since the title's unveiling, we've been anxiously awaiting new information, primarily because Quantic Dream is capable of producing something mighty special. Furthermore, let's not forget about the Leipzig games conference next month, because more than a few sources have claimed that we can expect more announcements and unveilings. So if you found E3 to be a tad underwhelming, you may want to pay close attention in August...some surprises may be on the way.
As for Heavy Rain, there were a few nasty rumors going around about how the project may have been canceled, or it wasn't looking anywhere near as good as initially reported. But perhaps we'll learn all there is to know (for the time being) in just a few weeks time, and if they do, we'll make sure to tell you about it.

In the 1UP Yours podcast released recently on 1up.com, Shane Bettenhausen talks about the possibility of another Square-Enix title, coming exclusively to the Playstation 3. He says after talking to Square-Enix representatives that:
"The Final Fantasy XIII on 360 announcement swung the ball towards Microsoft. At Square Enix's Japan event in 2 weeks, they will swing the ball back towards Sony".
It's probably the FF13 Versus exclusivity that we are all thinking but who knows. Think about it at your own risk, lol.
