SIREN: Blood Curse Hits Euro PSN

Well, as some of you already know, the PS2 version of Alone in the Dark was a colossal bust, which means the PS3 version (scheduled to arrive later this year) probably won't be much better. Hence, some survival/horror fans have simply resigned themselves to waiting for Resident Evil 5.

But wait...perhaps there's something else you should look into, European gamers. SCEE has now released SIREN: Blood Curse on the PlayStation Network, and it's available for download in 12 different episodes. The only bad news is that each 3-pack of Episodes carries a price tag of £6.99, rather than the £4.99 they initially reported. Even so, this is one of the most promising bits of DLC you're going to find, especially considering the positive feedback we've been seeing. Eurogamer gave the episodic game a 8/10, for example, and if you're a fan of creepy, story-driven titles like Silent Hill, you should definitely consider a purchase. It's easy; you don't even have to leave the house!

If you want more information on SIREN: Blood Curse, you can always check out our preview, which may entice you into logging on and tossing down some money to give it a try.

I'm sooo glad that this is an actual SURVIVAL HORROR, I dunno what happened to the Resident Evil franchise but I was more interested in the old school version compared to the new ones RE4/RE5, they seem more like Action horror or something. Doesn't deliver much scares...altho I think Fatal Frame 1 was the scariest game I've played cuz of the limited weaponry (camera). I won't even bother saying anything about Alone in the Dark except for...wow SAD lol. Oh! And Silent Hill is still creepy atleast the last time I remember but I haven't played the latest.

well if you buy all 12 episodes at once it costs £19.99 for the whole game. Not too bad me thinks.

Man, Ben, I don't even understand how you finished Alone in the Dark. I preordered because it looked good and I tried playing it for about an hour and then just deleted it off my hard drive. It was pathetic.

40 bucks now on the US store. I think it's a little much if the demo is like the entire game...

I played the demo, but wasn't overly impressed. Again, the control mechanic is difficult to use...
