Resistance 2 Beta In September, Must Be A Qore Subscriber

If you're not yet familiar with Qore, perhaps you should acquaint yourself with that online magazine designed exclusively for PlayStation 3 owners. Why? Because now you have an ulterior motive, that's why...

According to IGN, Insomniac is prepping a beta for their massive PS3 exclusive FPS, Resistance 2, and if you want in, you need to be a Qore subscriber. Sadly, this basically eliminates European gamers from the possibility of participating, simply because Qore is only available to North American PS3 users. Then again, there's nothing saying that Sony won't offer beta spots to you Euro gamers as well; the positions might just be handed out in a different way. The beta should be set to go in September, so we expect to hear more about the latter subject within the next few weeks. We don't have any further details on the beta at this time, but we're hoping it'll be open to a decent number of testers, and we most certainly want in...oh yes, we want in.

As soon as we hear more about what to expect from the beta, we'll be sure to let you know. And don't worry, we won't leave our friends across the pond hanging, either; if Sony plans to let you into the beta by some other means, we'll be one of the first to tell ya. As for U.S. PS3 owners, it is now time to officially consider a Qore subscription.

By the way, you absolutely must check out the E3 videos if you haven't already: here's the exclusive trailer, and the massive monster gameplay that totally impressed the audience at Sony's press conference.

Sony just sent an e-mail with the PSN downloadable info and in the quore section, it says that in the quore vol. 3 there will be included the said beta, or at least the dowload code (yo can see the image of the e.mail here: http://ngzclan.com/mods/gallery/image.php?pic=190

I'm still waiting for the ability to download the Socom beta, it keeps saying that is not available or already downloaded...Ben, do you have any info or dates regarding to this beta?

At least you have a PSN designed for your country/region, we in latin america don't have anything. It was announced in E3, but we haven't had any more news regarding to that.

Sounds to good to be true. I still haven't played the Socom beta that was in the 1st episode of Core. Where is that one?

I'm feeling more and more left behind by the day.
No Qore, Downloadable Movie service or even the video preview on the store in the EU. Plus we don't even get half of what the US store gets at each update. It's not even like we get EU only content to compare to the US only content.
They'd better get the beta out to us in the EU some other way.

Am I right in thinking that when(if) sony release stores specific to each Country (i.e UK/Germany/etc as opposed to and Eu) then there is less chance of the UK gettin left out of the loop. I mean there would be no translation issues. Although, if I see colour spelt color on a UK store I'm gonna kick some Sony ass! :P

This has proven a way to get into the BETA, BUT

Insomniac just released information that if you preorder for $5, you will get in before the Qore members.

Don't worry, people in Europe still get into the beta, like caliblue said you have to preorder it). But yeah you guys still get the bad end of the stick (not including latin America).
