Another Marvel vs. Capcom Possible

Hey, old-school fighting fans- you probably remember Marvel vs. Capcom, and if you remember it with fondness (and you probably do), you probably want another one, dontcha?

According to IGN, President of Production at Marvel Studios, Kevin Feige, dropped a big hint that another Marvel vs. Capcom title may be in the works. When asked if a new title might possibly arrive at some point, Feige responded simply, "Yes. And maybe sooner than you think." Oh yeah? Bring it on! IGN went on to add that Capcom is currently developing a Japanese game called Tatsunoko vs. Capcom: Cross Generation of Heroes, but because of "various licensing issues with Tatsunoko," there's almost zero chance it'll ever make its way beyond Japan's boundaries. But it wouldn't be too tough to substitute in Marvel characters, change the title for North American audiences, and bingo; you've got another Marvel vs. Capcom. But all that is nothing more than speculation, of course, and we certainly don't have an official confirmation on any details mentioned here.

All we know is that it's very possible, and as Feige said, it may be coming a whole lot sooner than anticipated. Could the old-school fighter be making a comeback in this new generation...? Or are we just jumping the gun again?

Wow...what the hell? I was JUST thinking about this last night while doing some Street Fighter research. God, this is so exciting. Maybe we'll hear it at Leipzig?

This would be awesome. They need to do it because trying to even get a copy of Marvel Vs. Capcom is near impossible because they are so expensive.

they need to release a compilation disc with the rest of the vs. series on it first. x-men vs. street fighter, marvel superheroes vs. street fighter, and the two marvel vs. capcom games. capcom lets too many of their games fall out of publication, like these and shadow of rome, which (without the metal gear octavius part of the games) was one of the more fun games I've played in the past decade.
