Media Molecule Offers Users Incentive For Quality LBP Levels
One of the most appealing aspects of LittleBigPlanet will invariably revolve around user generated content. Hell, it's one of the biggest reasons most are so excited about the game; to be able to create your own levels from scratch and upload them for other gamers to use? Sweet! But, as with anything else good in this life, there will be one limitation...
According to Australian site GamePlayer, it seems there will be limited server space for users, which means that you can't just keep creating new levels over and over. Eventually, the available space will fill and you'll have to choose which of your creations must bite the dust in order to make room for the new ones. However, Media Molecule has a way of turning a negative into a positive: those of you who create the most popular levels will be granted additional server space, just 'cuz you're so darn talented. As GamePlayer mentioned, this should help to promote quality user-generated levels, simply because those who do a good job will be rewarded. If you muck things up, your server allotment won't increase, and that's that. It's as if you were an artist just starting out; when your pieces go over well with the art community, you have more incentive and motivation to keep working.
Anyway, even when the news at first appears to be leaning towards the negative side in regards to LittleBigPlanet, there is - at the very least - a silver lining. Anybody else pumped for LBP?

Definitely the only game which could rival MGS4 this year.
I hope they replace the "earn money from levels" idea and replace it with this idea of earning more space if you create great levels.
A little big plus for MM for doing this. This will push creativity to new heights. Now I'm really hoping to create some amazing levels :D

I would hope that all the levels that people create are well done and not like a 4 year old doodling on a spirograph type quality.
I for one plan on making some video game level replicas :)
