LittleBigPlanet Gets Dated For Japan?
LittleBigPlanet made one hell of an impression at E3 this year, and more than ever, gamers are anxiously anticipating its release this fall. But do we finally have a release date; something besides the vague "fall 2008" or "October 2008" estimation? We might...
According to French gaming site Play3-Live, it seems the little platformer that could now has a Japanese release date and price. The rough translation apparently confirms the earlier reports that it would arrive in October, as LittleBigPlanet may be set for October 30, with a price tag of 5,980 yen (about $55.50). While none of this information can be considered official, we will say it certainly seems plausible. October 30 means it may hit store shelves right about the time the much anticipated PlayStation Home beta releases (hopefully), and we'd certainly want to expect a worldwide simultaneous release. They've been doing that recently with big-name titles, and the way Sony keeps pushing this particular game, we're hoping for the October 30 date to ring true for all.
When the LittleBigPlanet release gets its official seal of approval from Sony, we'll be sure to let you know. In the meantime, it seems very unlikely that this one will suffer a disappointing "pushed-into-2009" delay. We don't want that.
