Square-Enix Event: Additional Details
I keep getting conflicting reports on whether or not the news is over and done with from Japan - Arnold says it's over - but if it is, we're sorry to inform you that there has been nothing related to Final Fantasy VII besides the unveiling of "Advent Children Complete." So let's just wrap things up with a few other tidbits from Square-Enix's private party this weekend.
First of all, the biggest news centered on the Final Fantasy XIII demo that will be included with "Advent Children Complete." Furthermore, considering it's Blu-Ray, we have to assume for now that the playable demo is exclusive to the PlayStation 3, although we're relatively certain that Square-Enix will make it available to Xbox 360 owners in some other way (possibly via the Marketplace). But in addition, it seems FFXIII will be playable at the Tokyo Game Show next month, which factors in nicely to the prediction that the full game will arrive in late 2009. Now, moving on to another rumor, we've heard that Kingdom Hearts III is in "pre-development" and will get unveiled some time soon...and GoOnl!ne says that KHIII may still show up at the second day of the Square-Enix party, which is ready to kick off as we speak.
If not, we'll probably see it at TGS. If they really don't plan to issue any more announcements, then this is where the news ends for Square-Enix's DKS3713 event. But they may have a few surprises left, so don't give up hope just yet...
