Valve: "No PS3 Version Of Left 4 Dead"
Left 4 DeadThe latest edition of the Official PlayStation Magazine talked about an impending PlayStation 3 version of the survival/horror title, Left 4 Dead. However, as the "announcement" was only part of the "Rumors" section, nobody considered it official.
Apparently, it's a good thing they didn't, because it seems this particular rumor is - for the time being, at least - untrue. The rumor stated that the promising title headed to the Xbox 360 and PC would be developed by Valve, and EA would handle much of the "in-house duties" for the PS3 port. But when IGN spoke to Valve's Doug Lombardi about this, he simply replied- "There is no PS3 version of Left 4 Dead currently in production." Now, this could mean one of two things- 1. Valve isn't making any PS3 version of the game, nor will they ever, or 2. they're not making any PS3 version, but EA will do much of the legwork and the game will eventually show up. Either way, PS3 owners are sick and tired of low-quality ports, so unless EA really stepped up with this one, perhaps we're all better off, anyway.
Still, given the extra time and the fact that EA has supposedly "caught up" in terms of understanding the PS3 hardware, we're a little disappointed that Left 4 Dead may never see the light of day on Sony's machine. Then again, if it turns out like Alone in the Dark, we won't really care. We'll keep you updated on this situation.

Seriously...Gabe and any other person with no brain, should not even bother trying to figure out the PS3's Cell. Obviously they are only in it for a quick buck and not for their consumers. F Valve, F Valve in their Fat Valve Asses!

Don't give me any of that "BAHHHHH gaming PC's are too expensive" crap because Valve is and has been using the Source engine for years and it has no problem running on my laptop so it should have no problem running on any integrated video chipsets as of recent.
