Warhawk Trophies, Custom Music Confirmed For August 27

Some time ago, we discovered the full Trophy details for Warhawk, but at the time, we didn't have a release date. Well, now we do, so it's time to fire up one of the most entertaining online experiences of the generation.

According to Kotaku, the v1.5 update will bring those 50+ Trophies, and you can start racking up the awards for everything from hosting a game for a certain amount of time to playing a "perfect deathmatch" (no deaths, Mr. Expert). These incentives should give the Warhawk servers a bit of a boost at the end of this month, although they really don't need it; the game remains super popular. Oh, and the news doesn't end here- if you're an avid player, you probably get tired of the music pretty quickly. Well, the v1.5 update will also feature the newfound ability to add "custom music tracks from the Home Menu." Yay! We can also expect new paint schemes and insignias, plus several new tutorial missions for n00bs.

The date: August 27. We always figured first-party PS3 titles would be among the first to receive the Trophy/in-game music treatment, so it's no real surprise, but it's still good news.
