"Bikes Pack" For Burnout Paradise Delayed, More Details Added
We've known for a while now that Criterion Games is planning to deliver motorcycles for Burnout Paradise in an upcoming update. But sadly, we're going to have to wait a bit longer before we can tear through Paradise City at suicidal speeds perched atop our crotch rockets.
In a recent post made by Criterion producer Jeremy Chubb over at the official PlayStation blog, the update - previously called the "Davis Update" and now known simply as the "Bikes Pack" - will not arrive in August as originally expected. The motorcycle addition has been pushed back a bit to September, but when it shows up, it'll boast two distinct bikes: a street chopper and a straight-up racing bike. Furthermore, Chubb spoke about the new night racing feature, and the fact that the "time of day will change dynamically." When the sun goes down, you can participate in super-cool "Midnight Rides" on your new bike, but beware of the changing weather! That's right, Criterion is making this update even bigger by tossing in weather alterations, which means the entire presentation of the city could change from day to day, and even hour to hour.
So you may have to wait until September, but if you're a Burnout Paradise fan, you will be richly rewarded for your patience. As for that rumor about adding airplanes...well, you never know what these developers are going to do. For now, let's just be happy with this news.
