Jetpacks Soaring Into Warhawk

We have already told you about Trophies and custom in-game music arriving with the v1.5 patch for Warhawk, but there seems to be one additional intriguing detail...

The patch will also bring something else: jetpacks! The news first came when the list of 57 Trophies popped up at GameFAQs and three of those Trophies were Jetpack-related (Aerial Ballet, Are You Aim-Botting? and That was Some Bug). Now, due to the very unofficial source, we couldn't possibly confirm this as fact, but Kotaku went ahead and contacted SCEA about the subject. As it turns out, SCEA did confirm that the list of 57 Trophies is accurate, which must mean the jetpacks are inevitable. Incognito has been working since Day 1 to make Warhawk a deeper, more diverse, and more engaging experience, so perhaps it's no surprise to hear about this particular addition. On the other hand, this presents us with a whole slew of new questions- can we shoot jetpackers out of the air while in a plane? Can those using a jetpack shoot at planes? How far or high how can you go? Oh, we've got questions, but we assume we'll get answers before too long.

Remember, the v1.5 patch is scheduled to become available on August 27, and that's only a few short weeks away. For many players, Warhawk is suddenly going to boast a very interesting new option during combat.

Yeah I was wondering about those jetpacks, hopefully you can wear one while in a warhawk and jump out before you get hit. I always wanted them to add parachutes, but if you can hop out this will be fine then.

I totally agree with you. The lack of parachutes turned me away from flying in Warhawk, but if you can jump out before a fatal crash and fly away instead of landing in potential enemy territory, that would rock!

I already find it fairly difficult to fly the planes... it will be interesting too see how this works out!

This'll be awesome, but i bet you can only use the jetpack for a limited time until it has to recharge or something.

In Warhawk i doubt there's a need for a limited fuel supply to anything, enemy firepower usually beings ya down fast enough. lol

if you want to get better using airplanes, play dogfight. I once sucked, but now i know alot of ways to avoid getting killed in the air.

I've not heard of dogfight. How do I get into it? I usually play any version(capture the flag, hero, etc) but make sure I'm playing ranks closer to my own.

if you want to play dogfight, look for Team death match, it will say dogfight on the game. But i warn you dogfight is very very tedious, especially when you are playing against skilled people and their team out numbers your team.

I just bought Warhawk 2 days ago for $25 bucks used...awesome thing about that? I got the bluetooth and game together! I don't think the Greatest hits collection includes the Bluetooth from what I saw at Gamestop so I think that's quite a steal imo! :-D

IMHO it is a stretch to assume that jetpacks are coming out just based on the trophy names.

Aerial Ballet could just mean flying an aircraft or falling off a cliff.

The list on GameFAQs states the trophy requirement as well as the names. And as they were confirmed by SCEA, Jetpacks are acomin.
