New Heavy Rain Screens Surface
We know that many of our readers were disappointed when Heavy Rain was a no-show at this year's E3. Some were hoping for a huge unveiling but it never occurred, and now we're left waiting for the likes of the Leipzig Convention this month and the Tokyo Game Show next month.
However, perhaps said unveiling is closer than expected. A couple new screenshots have suddenly popped up on the Internet, and they're gathering a whole lot of attention. Here's one of them here, and you can see the zoomed out image as well in our freshly updated screenshots. This may or may not be the same woman shown in earlier images (yep, that chick with the gun pointed at the camera), but if it is, the detail has most certainly changed. Either way, these are stunning pics, and while we have to assume they're CGI, it's still promising media. The original source is European gaming site Spilzonen, but many other publications are picking up these pics at a rapid pace...it only proves that everyone is looking for more news on Heavy Rain.
This could be a good sign of things to come; perhaps these screens preclude more information. Perhaps almost inadvertently, Quantic Dream has generated a whole lot of hype for this particular title; we say "inadvertently" because a lack of news doesn't necessarily mean they're withholding anything. Maybe they just haven't been ready...and maybe they will be ready very soon. We'll keep you updated.

“Heavy Rain is about normal people that have landed in extraordinary situations,” he explains. “I wanted a much more personal story. The first thing that came to my mind, as a father of two little boys, was that the main theme should simply be a father’s love for his son. This is not a game about saving the princess or the world. It’s purely about a father’s love."
“The main story will revolve around four different characters, and we’re putting the spotlight on their perceptions. The question ‘what is good and what is evil’ is the key here, that will be just a matter of viewpoint - I believe heavily in moral choices, I’m going to use them A LOT. They’re not about being good or bad, but about finding the right balance.”
The only definite thing beyond that, it seems, was Cage’s resolution that Heavy Rain will not take place in an open environment. “The flow of the story will then be hard to control,” he says, by way of explanation. “Nevertheless, I do want to incorporate big sets, with a crowd, heavy populated areas like a mall and a subway are going to be in there. Of course, the gameplay has got to make use of that aspect too.”
