Bionic Commando Rearmed Gets Officially Dated And Priced
Update: Sadly for European gamers, this game has once again been pushed back for that region. The Euro release date for the PlayStation Store is still "TBA," but we expect a new date some time soon. Hopefully.
Original Story:
Up for some good old-fashioned side-scrolling action fun? Of course you are!
It got pushed back a few times, but Capcom is finally ready to give all you veteran old-school gamers the treat you've been waiting for: Bionic Commando Rearmed has been confirmed for release on both the PlayStation Network and Xbox Live Marketplace next week! According to the game's official site, Rearmed will become available on the PSN August 13 in Japan and the following day in North America, which means we can relive the glory days of 2D gaming once more next week. It'll cost you $9.99 to take the journey back into yesteryear, but that's a very agreeable price for what you receive. And as a mini-apology and explanation for taking a while to release this information, Gearoid Reidy had this to say on the site:
"Apologies to the many fans out there eagerly awaiting the release of Rearmed for being unable to confirm these dates for so long and leaving you in the dark, because when we announced the date this time, we wanted to be 100% sure you were getting the right information."
Well, that's good. So basically, it's a 100% guarantee that this highly anticipated remake will arrive next week, so you needn't worry about any further delays. As for the next-gen Bionic Commando, we expect to hear more details soon, so stay tuned for that.
