PAIN Trophies Revealed, Coming With Amusement Park Level
PAINOne of the most popular downloadable titles for the PlayStation Store is PAIN, the game that allows you to get all masochistic with your character for the sake of dark yet gleeful entertainment. And if you're a fan of the game and are wondering when Trophies are coming, you won't have much longer to wait.
According to an update by SCEA senior producer Travis Williams at the official PlayStation blog, the Trophies will be coming with a game update on September 4. Furthermore, it seems a few of these Trophies may actually be retroactive (although Williams admits that most won't be), and a brand new level is coming on the same day, too. It's the Amusement Park, and we're already thinking about some insanely sick things to do to our character... Anyway, if you want a "somewhat complete list" of the Trophies that will get added early next month, you can check the blog post and see for yourself. A few are pretty interesting- there's the Gold "Affliction Addiction" Trophy (get 1 billion points), and several Bronze Trophies like the "D-Town Destruction," which requires you to net 10,000,000 points in PAINdemonium and Aftermath. None of these Trophies are going to be easy to acquire, but then again...why should they be?
If you haven't downloaded PAIN just yet, now might be the time to give it a whirl. It's great for getting rid of some pent-up frustration, and some are even claiming the experience can get very addicting. We believe it!

You should be able to get all trophies without buying DLC, even Xbox does this.
Sorry that's my biggest gripe about the trophy system so far. To get all trophies you should not be forced to buy DLC. Eden and Uncharted do it right, SSHD and Pain, do it wrong.

it says the day they ship the dlc is when the update is available, you don't have to pay for it.

I said paying for DLC. You can only get certain trohpies with DLC. All trophies should be available without having to buy DLC.
Trophy patches are great! I'm complaining about the trophies not being about the original game, its about the DLC ( the new level, the two DLC characters, SSHD single player pack, multiplayer pack, etc.)

I haven't played it myself...just saying what I've heard/read elsewhere, though video footage of it I've seen didn't look too intriguing. Are there actually some big fans of this game?
