Pre-Order LBP At GameStop, Get Kratos SackBoy Costume

Remember that sweet little Kratos SackBoy? It's one of the promotional pieces of virtual merchandise SCEA has planned for the LittleBigPlanet launch in October, and at the time, we were wondering which retailers would be embracing which extras.

Well, GameStop now has pre-order information, and that's where you need to go if you want that Kratos costume for the game's adorable and versatile main character. This isn't an actual SackBoy doll; it's an in-game bonus you will receive by using the downloadable voucher code you get from GameStop. The costume itself has four individual components - a Kratos skin, goatee, clothing, and of course, those deadly Blades of Athena - which can be mixed and match any way you see fit. However, if this doesn't interest you, perhaps you'd like to pre-order from Amazon instead; they're offering a Brady Games strategy guide, which was described at the official PlayStation blog as "a primer for LittleBigPlanet's CREATE tools and provides users with a quick tutorial to begin developing their own levels."

As for the rest of the stuff, like the LittleBigStickerBook or that Nariko costume, we have no details as of yet. They may not come via per-order campaigns from retailers; we'll have to keep an eye on what transpires. LittleBigPlanet mania is already starting!

Probably be best to pre-order from gamestop since if you do think they give you like 5-10% off the strategy guide for pre-ordering. I tend to buy strategy guides and never use them though :-\

I'm with you NextGen. And this is probably the game that is going to get me to buy the Eye. Has anybody heard anything about importing video from the Eye? I know you can import still images, but video would be some much the better!

Yes, you can import videos. They are only imported in MP4, though. Not everything plays that format.
But I think I'll be pre-ordering LBP for that Kratos! This game is gonna be sweet!

This is really a great addition, i have always wanted a sackboy toy but now they're offering Kratos Sackboy, wow! Am going to pre-order tomorrow just for Kratos!

It's not an actual toy. I was absolutly gutted when I heard that you don't get an actual doll but an ingame Kratos sackboy...still pretty cool mind. Here's hoping GAME does the offer here.

I'm torn between weather I want the Nariko or the Kratos. I'll just assume that the Nariko will be Best Buy and the stores are like right next to eachother here so that's gonna be a tough one

I also would prefer something like a keychain. But I guess they just want to get the most they can outa merchandising. The sticker book will be pretty neat though.

I showed a pic of Sackboy to my mom to see if she would make one. She said my Grandma could do it. Maybe I should show her this page and tell her how much money she could make on e-bay if she did like 10 or so.

it starts next week. if you pre-ordered in store already you need to go on Monday and get your code before your store runs out. only at the one u reserved at though.

Hey Ben, and anyone else, I just preordered my copy of LBP today at gamestop, and the 2 employees inidcated that they were receiving vouchers for downloading both GOW and HS sackdolls. So unless they were misinformed or just got the update, it would be nice to know what the truth is on that. I'd love to be able to get them both!
