Sony Reveals Leipzig Lineup
The Leipzig Games Convention takes place between the 20th and 24th of this month, and right after E3, Sony hinted that we should be prepared for more in the way of big news and unveilings. Not surprisingly, they're the only one of the "Big 3" who will have an "official showing" at the conference.
As Ripten reports, the notable games on the list are obvious, and one of the biggest titles is Quantic Dream's Heavy Rain. We've been wondering about that game for most of 2008, and it's great to hear we'll finally see the game...perhaps as it was meant to be seen. No more rumors, leaked screens, or quick, inaccurate reports. Also, we see the likes of Resistance 2, LittleBigPlanet, and InFamous. Here's the full list of what Sony plans to bring to Leipzig:
- MotorStorm Pacific Rift
- LittleBigPlanet
- Resistance 2
- Free Realms
- The Agency
- DC Universe Online
- Infamous
- Home
- Killzone 2 (single player and multiplayer hands-on)
- Heavy Rain
These are top titles, to be sure, and we can't wait to learn more about them in less than two weeks time. There's no doubt that the latter part of 2008 is loaded with plenty of huge games for all platforms, but Sony looks to lead the way heading into the holidays. Only time will tell...

Im looking forward to Guerilla shutting ppl up about the AI. I have so much hope for this game and everyone seem to bring it down. 'Yeah the graphics are amazing, but nothing new.. The palette choice is too grey.. the AI stinks.. the tanks are clunky..." I think this game is destined to fall under pressure and comparison. Im sure Sony gave them enough time and money to make sure its as sweet as it can be. Heck, they're pretty much finished the game so now all they need to do is tweak it until end of Feb. How sweet is that??
