Exclusive Addition To Bionic Commando Rearmed For PSN

If you're a fan of old-school side-scrollers and you forgot to check the PlayStation Store yesterday, you need to log on today: Bionic Commando Rearmed is there, and in addition, Capcom has revealed a little added incentive for PS3 users.

Over at the official PlayStation blog, producer Ben Judd has said the Store version of Rearmed will have "an exclusive challenge room" that is extraordinarily difficult. This mode apparently isn't available for Xbox 360 Marketplace users, and if PSN users can conquer this crazy level, it'll "make for bragging rights." Judd also mentioned a whole new medal we hadn't heard about before; "Faster than a Speeding Bullet," which will require the player to block at least 100 projectiles with the Bionic Arm. This remake is one of the most anticipated downloads of the year, especially among those who played the original way back when. These downloadable titles make for pleasant diversions - perhaps that's an understatement - in between the giant console blockbusters.
