Pre-Order Pure, Get Playable Demo
It's sneaking up on many of us, and we really shouldn't let it. Pure had one heck of a great showing at E3 last month, and it's shaping up to be one of the year's best racers. So for all you off-road racing fans, especially those who enjoyed the ATV Off-Road titles on the PS2, you should definitely pay attention.
According to IGN, a playable demo of Pure will launch itself into select retailers the week of August 18 in the U.S. Disney Interactive Studios confirmed that if you pre-order the game at GameStop, Best Buy (both U.S. and Canada), Blockbuster, Game Crazy, EB Games (Canada) and several other stores, you will receive the disc. This demo will boast a game tutorial, one complete track from the game, and (we're hoping) a few ATVs to test out. But if you don't wish to pre-order and would rather wait, that same demo will be coming to the PSN and Marketplace next month.
"Pure is an action sports game like no other that lets you soar off huge peaks and see for miles in the distance while you pull adrenaline-inducing tricks," said Jason Avent, game director at Black Rock Studio. "The demo will give fans a limited but intense sample of the gameplay and provide practice for when the game is released in late September."
Don't worry, we won't be forgetting about this one, as it's scheduled to arrive on September 16, and that's not far off. If you're looking for gorgeous locales and very big air, you can't miss out on Pure.

Speaking of demos, does anyone know if Sony still gives out those demo disks like they used to for the PS1? I thought those where fantastic, helped me decide on a few games I wouldn't have bought otherwise.
