I Am Alive: "Another Strong Franchise"
Okay Ubisoft, we admit...we're getting mixed signals here. First, you say you don't really want to do a sequel to Assassin's Creed because you'd rather focus on producing special IPs for the new generation. At first, we figured this would include Jade Raymond's new project, I Am Alive. But now, they want that to be a franchise, too!
Of course, we all know about major long-running series like Splinter Cell and Prince of Persia. And the publisher has very high expectations for I Am Alive, which only recently debuted this year at E3. According to MCVUK, Ubisoft executive director Alain Corre had this to say concerning their goals for I Am Alive.
"We hope it can be another strong franchise for our portfolio, alongside Prince Of Persia or Rayman Rabbids. It's a new baby for us – and we have big hopes."
If you want an early look at the game in question, check out the E3 debut trailer, which proves that when the chips are down, humans value something besides money. It has been described as a survival/horror game with a significantly unique twist, and that's something that should appeal to a wide variety of tastes. And hey, I Am Alive should be popping up at the Leipzig Games Convention this week, so more information should be on the way!
