Alone In The Dark PS3 Budget Priced?

We know Atari and Eden Studios have promised an "enhanced" version of Alone in the Dark when the survival/horror title finally comes to the PS3 this fall. But are they going to give us a budget price, too?

As PS3Fanboy points out, GameStop has a listing for Alone in the Dark PS3 with a $30 price tag. If true, this is likely a response to the mediocre reviews the Xbox 360 version of the game received earlier this year, and the fact the PS3 version would be up against heavy competition during the holiday months. They had best deliver on that "enhanced" claim if they want to have any hope of good sales, because many PS3 owners have also seen the PS2 review, and weren't encouraged. The biggest problem revolved around a significant lack of control, so perhaps that's the first issue Eden should address for the PS3 version. If they do, thirty bucks is an agreeable price for a decent game, although there will be plenty of other options in November.

After several delays, Alone in the Dark for the PS3 was scheduled to arrive on October 14, but the latest news says it has slipped into November. And if it does come out at that time, a budget price might be essential to generate at least some sales.

maybe they could charge $60 for it and include a durashock 3 controller. It worked for Wii play.

I don't blame them for hacking the price in half. The reviews were horrible, which was a huge disappointment to me because when i first saw the game i was so excited.

I have the game on the PC and boy is it hard to play. Like Ben said the controls are terrible, even worse than on the PS2 I would assume. Plus I have had to deal with about 8 crashes and I have gotten stuck due to a glitch once, fallen through the floor into nothing once. I mean this game really sucks... I am still not done with it...
